Privacy in TMPlayer Web

TMPlayer Web is TMPlayer in your browser: a player for the videos already in your own Telegram chats. It is unofficial and not affiliated with Telegram. It is a static site: there is no server of ours between your browser and Telegram, and nothing you watch, nor your account, reaches us.

What talks to what

What is kept in your browser

WhatWhere
Your Telegram session, and TDLib's copy of your chats and messagesThis browser's IndexedDB, for this site only
Parts of the videos you played, so they open again without downloadingThis browser's private file storage (OPFS); cleared with the site's data
Settings, where you stopped in each video, your Watched listThis browser's local storage
The app's own files, so it opens offlineThis browser's cache

None of it leaves the browser. Your browser may remove it when space runs short, unless the app has asked to keep it (an installed app does). Clearing this site's data in the browser removes all of it and signs you out of this browser.

On a shared computer

Anyone who uses this browser profile after you can open your chats here. Sign out from Settings when you are done, or end the session from Telegram on your phone: Settings, Devices, where this browser is listed as "Web" with its name. From there you can also end every other session at once.

What we collect

Nothing. The web app has no analytics and no crash reporting of its own. If that changes, it will be said here first, and it will be off until you turn it on.
